You may have encountered a situation where GTI does not let you out of the date input field. This happens if you accidentally entered a non-existent date, for example, June 31 or the 13th of the month. In this case, it is enough to correct the date or simply close the program section and reopen it if you could not visually find a specific date filter.

To reduce eye strain when working in the evening, turn on Night Light:
Go to Settings -> System -> Display -> Night Light.
It removes the cold blue glow of the screen, making colors warmer.
You can set it to turn on automatically on a schedule (for example, at sunset).

If you need to rename a bunch of files in a folder:
Press [F2] on the first file and enter a new name.
Without pressing [Enter], just press the [Tab] key - the cursor will automatically jump to the next file with the highlighted name!
Pressing [Tab] replaces three actions: [Enter] + [↓] + [F2]

If you urgently need to hide all windows from prying eyes, the combination [Win] + [D] minimizes absolutely everything.
Press [Win] + [D] again - all windows will return exactly to their places.
A similar combination: [Win] + [M]. Reverse action: [Shift]+[Win]+[M] .

Leap Second or How Earth's Rotation Disrupts IT Infrastructure
|
A leap second is a one-second adjustment applied to Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). It compensates for the difference between atomic time and solar time, which varies due to the uneven rotation of the Earth.
The decision to introduce such a second is usually made six months in advance - so that the difference between UTC and UT1 does not exceed ±0.9 seconds. Traditionally, seconds are added on June 30 or December 31. They appear at the end of the day, and then the digital clock shows the value 23:59:60. According to scientists, atomic clocks, on which internet communication, GPS and financial transactions depend, never slow down. Therefore, timekeepers have added seconds to them to synchronize them with the Earth. Since 1972, this has happened 27 times.
However, starting in 2020, the situation has changed to the opposite: the Earth's rotation has accelerated. And so, at the end of 2026, a leap second will not be added, and international chronometry bodies are preparing to vote to replace this practice with a “leap hour” starting in 2027. The decision is aimed at preventing catastrophic failures in the global IT infrastructure - due to the fact that for the first time in history it may be necessary to introduce a “negative leap second.”
